Mizuchi is known in Japanese mythology as a water dragon that dwelled in the Kawashima River and killed travelers who passed by with its venom. It was known to have been slain by an ancient ancestor of the clan Kasa no omi.

All Musha swords can be fully disassembled. Maru Gata style Tsuba, Fuchi, and Kashira can all be swapped out for a different set. The real wood handle is wrapped with traditional cotton.
